Street Food

Street food is food or drinks sold by a hawker or vendor on a street or at other public places, such as markets, fairs, parks, and clubs. It is often sold from a portable food booth, food cart, or food truck and is meant for immediate consumption. A food street is a pedestrianised area that has been designated for restaurants and cafes. Such areas are found in several major Pakistani cities. The food street is lined with food stalls, restaurants, and other food shops, and are typically pedestrianized. The term “street foods” describes a wide range of ready-to-eat foods and beverages sold and sometimes prepared in public places, notably streets. Like fast foods, the final preparation of street foods occurs when the customer orders the meal which can be consumed where it is purchased or taken away. They are made the authentic way as the recipe should be made according to the local taste. We can see in tourism places people flocking near local food places to taste the local recipes. In restaurants, we do not get the local taste. These are the delicious, traditional food items. They have a unique aroma and flavor attached with them that makes every passer-by to stand, and taste it. Moreover, they are readily made within a short duration of few minutes. This adds to its specialty of giving a try to these food items.
